vom Mainebach

The vom Mainebach kennel in Friedland is dedicated to the Gończy Polski and is affiliated with the Verband für das Deutsche Hundewesen (VDH) e.V. The breeding program goes back to a female dog that came to the kennel from Poland in 2021 and whose qualities shape the focus of the work. Her pronounced scent work is particularly emphasized. In tracking work, she shows calmness, concentration, and great endurance, even on older tracks. In hunting situations, she works independently, searches with an audible voice, and is intended to pursue game prudently without unnecessarily endangering herself. In addition to her hunting qualities, the female dog is described as fond of water and eager to retrieve. She is friendly toward other dogs and lives both in the house and in the kennel. In everyday family life, she is considered attentive, willing to learn, and affectionate; outside the hunting season as well, she proves to be a pleasant companion.
