Hvenekilde’s Icelandic Sheepdog breeder in Gudme · Denmark

Hvenekilde’s is a small family kennel in Gudme that breeds Icelandic Sheepdogs, with a focus on the dogs’ well-being, early imprinting and a good everyday life. The kennel has two females and has five hectares of land, arranged as a private dog forest, where the dogs have plenty of space for activity and exercise. The puppies grow up in the living room of the home as part of the daily rhythm together with the kennel’s adult dogs. As they develop, they are given the opportunity to move around the property. Socialisation, a secure environment and a solid foundation for life as a family dog are central elements of their upbringing. The kennel has completed DKK’s breeder education and also works with puppy and family dog training. Classes are held regularly in a heated training hall, while activities during the summer period take place outdoors. The combination of breeding and training supports the focus on well-functioning family dogs.
