vom Stormsteich Kooikerhondje breeder in Itzehoe · Germany

The vom Stormsteich kennel is located in Itzehoe in Schleswig-Holstein, about 60 kilometers north of Hamburg. Its name refers to the nearby Stormsteich, which can be reached via forest paths and characterizes the green surroundings of the location. The Kooikerhondjes are bred there by the Kooiker family. The breeding program follows the guidelines of the Deutscher Club für Kooikerhondje e.V. and the VDH. The focus is on healthy, even-tempered dogs. The puppies grow up in the living area and experience family life from the very beginning. This gently familiarizes them with typical household sounds and routines. As their activity increases, the puppies use the garden with opportunities for play and training and become familiar with different surfaces. Short outings give them impressions of city noises, leash handling and car rides. Before leaving, they are dewormed several times, microchipped, vaccinated and examined by a veterinarian. Even after the puppies have been handed over, the kennel remains available to the new families.
