Vom Nordlicht is a breeding community for Jagdterriers in Bunsoh, living on a farm in Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein, with several generations of the family and their dogs. Living together on the farm shapes the breeders’ everyday life and their close relationship with the dogs. The focus is on calm, resilient and passionate hunting dogs that can be handled reliably. Sound temperament, balance and a solid basic calmness are highly valued in the breeding program, so that the dogs can be reliable partners during the hunt and pleasant companions in everyday life. Vom Nordlicht pursues the goal of producing capable all-purpose hunting dogs for various hunting tasks, from small game to wild boar and other hoofed game, as well as tracking wounded game. The dogs are also handled in the family’s own field and forest hunting grounds and on tracking and flushing assignments; puppies are placed exclusively with hunters.
