Semaje

Kennel Semaje is a small family breeding programme of Landseer in Otterup, where the dogs live as part of everyday life. The breeding programme has completed DKK’s breeder education and is based on experience with breeding since 2007, though with a limited number of litters. The first Landseer bitch came to the kennel in 2020 and forms the basis for the continued breeding work. Health, a harmonious appearance and the breed’s good temperament are central considerations in the selection for breeding. The aim is to contribute to future generations of healthy Landseers with a stable and friendly disposition. Great emphasis is placed on health results, so that the selected breeding dogs support the kennel’s expectations for both well-being and temperament. The puppies grow up close to the family during their first eight weeks and receive early socialisation in a home environment. They undergo temperament testing to make the matching with future families as suitable as possible, and no puppy moves without prior contact with the future owners. Kennel Semaje also wishes to follow the puppies throughout their lives in order to gather knowledge about the results of the breeding.
