of Cead Mille Failte Rough Collie breeder in Überherrn · Germany

The kennel of Cead Mille Failte in Überherrn is dedicated to the Longhaired Collie and is affiliated with the Deutscher Collie-Club e.V. The enthusiasm for Collies goes back to childhood: A first mixed-breed dog was later followed by purebred dogs in the colours Sable and Blue Merle. Professional experience from a veterinary practice complements the long-standing personal connection with the dogs. After acquiring her own Collie bitch, the desire to breed herself arose at the beginning of the 2000s. The protected kennel name made it possible to begin breeding, which was initially interrupted after a first litter and an illness of the bitch. With a bitch that joined the household later, breeding could be continued. From the subsequent litters, individual young bitches remained in the home and form the basis for continuing the small-scale breeding programme. Several generations live there together, from the older bitch through her daughter to her descendants. The family environment is also shaped by other animals.
