Hjortholm Weimaraner breeder in Hobro · Denmark

Hjortholm is a Danish dog breeder in Hobro that has worked with Weimaraners since 2010. The kennel breeds dogs that should be able both to participate in an active hunting life and to be calm, close family members in everyday life. The work is based on the breed’s versatility and on a careful selection of breeding animals. In its breeding, Hjortholm places emphasis on health, a stable temperament and useful hunting abilities. The breeding dogs have been assessed in a hunting context, at recognised trials and through health examinations. The aim is Weimaraners with the nature of the affectionate family dog and qualities that can be actively used in hunting. The kennel follows Dansk Weimaraner Klub’s recommendations for breeding and states that the dogs have Basis+-pedigrees. Hjortholm has completed DKK’s breeder education. This focus combines documented prerequisites with the desire to breed breed-typical dogs for both hunting and family life.
