Vom Habichtswald is a hunting-oriented breeding program for short-haired Weimaraners in Verden. The focus is on dogs of this breed as well as breeding goals based on their characteristics for hunting use. The breeding program is affiliated with the Weimaraner-Klub e.V. The breeding program’s own presentation provides insights into the dogs kept and shows pictures from everyday life. It also presents the raising of the puppies and the breeding goals in greater detail. This gives interested parties information about the kennel’s orientation and the development of the young Weimaraners. Puppies from the Vom Habichtswald breeding program are given exclusively to people who are actively working as hunters or foresters. Police personnel and search-and-rescue dog handlers are also considered as prospective owners. The placement of the young dogs is thus specifically aimed at people who can foster their abilities in an appropriate working environment.
