Bjørnegården

Bjørnegården is a dog breeding kennel in Snedsted with Basset Hound and English Bulldog. The dogs live in the countryside with close connection to the home and the opportunity to be both indoors and outdoors. The goal is a meaningful everyday life, where activity, calm and togetherness support the dogs’ well-being. For Basset Hound, the breeding focuses on the breed’s desire to search and follow tracks. Nose work and other suitable activation should contribute to calm and satisfied dogs. The breed is described as active and social; after work it enjoys relaxing with the family and can find it difficult to be completely alone. Bjørnegården has a kennel name and completed the Danish Kennel Club’s breeder education in 2003 as well as the legally required dog owner education in 2011. The experience is supplemented with courses in, among other things, behaviour, clicker training, puppy motivation, massage, raw feeding, ring and tracking training. Basset Hound are DNA-tested for POAG and Lafora disease.
