The breeding kennel am Jungfernbach in Bad Mergentheim has been dedicated to German Spitz in the size variety Mittelspitz since 1998. The association listed is the Verein für Deutsche Spitze e.V., founded in 1899. The goal is a traditional house, farmyard, and family dog with vigilance and a close bond.
The Mittelspitz from the breeding kennel wear lush coats in bright white or orange and have a manageable size. The firm double coat is described as easy to care for because it retains little dirt and hardly mats. The naturally short-haired muzzles and paws also make it easier to keep them clean.
In temperament, the dogs are considered friendly, people-oriented, and loyal. A low prey drive and strong orientation toward their caregivers are said to make training and off-leash walking easier. For over 18 years, dogs from the breeding kennel were regularly used for visiting services in nursing homes.
