Windwood's

Windwood's in Skærbæk breeds Golden Retrievers with a focus on breed-typical working lines. The goal is dogs that thrive both as family members and have a stable, good temperament. Emphasis is placed on willingness to cooperate, enjoyment of training and the natural aptitude for retrieving. Health is a central part of the breeding work. The breeding dogs are examined, among other things, by X-ray for HD and ED and undergo eye examinations every year. In addition, the dogs are DNA-tested for relevant hereditary disorders with the aim of supporting a healthy population. The breeding programme follows the Danish Kennel Club's breeding requirements as well as the ethical recommendations from DKK and the Danish Retriever Club. Windwood's has completed DKK's breeder education and works to combine the qualities of the working Golden Retriever with a well-functioning family life.
