The Haus Rubens kennel in Nümbrecht is dedicated to the German Spitz, particularly the Wolfspitz. It has been breeding this breed since 2004. The breeder has been a member of the Verein für Deutsche Spitze e.V. since 1982, has been an honorary member there since 2021, and has chaired the Cologne group as its first chairwoman since 1988. Since 1994, the breeder has worked as a specialist judge domestically and abroad. This experience supported the selection of a Wolfspitz male from Finland, who joined the breeding program in 2015 and complemented the lines. The male was approved for breeding in 2016 and already has descendants across several generations. The focus is on healthy, well-socialized puppies that conform to the breed standard. The puppies are raised in the house, and the kennel places importance on maintaining lasting contact with the families. As usually only one litter per year is planned, informal visits and information about the breed are possible even before the puppies are born.
