von der Schwelme

The cattery von der Schwelme has been dedicated to breeding Chartreux, also referred to as Chartreux or British Shorthair in blue, since 1990. As a small hobby cattery, it is based in Schwelm and is run with its own stud cat. The young animals spend their first period of life in the family environment of the cattery. There, they also get to know dogs, so that they are accustomed to their presence from an early age. The focus is on a sheltered upbringing within the family. The kittens are rehomed no earlier than twelve weeks of age. At this point, the animals are vaccinated and dewormed; they also receive a pedigree. The cattery thus combines many years of experience with a family-oriented approach to keeping Chartreux cats.
