The kennel von den Chiemgaugrafen is located in Haag an der Amper in the district of Freising. German Medium Spitz live there with the family and a Border Collie bitch in the house. Since 1994, dogs have been part of everyday life; after Border Collies, the enthusiasm for the Medium Spitz emerged. The family was intensively active in dog sports. Their experience includes agility training with the blv, training management in the club, supervising a puppy group, and a rescue dog suitability test. Today, dog sports mainly take place with their own dogs. They were looking for a smaller, family-suitable and eager-to-work dog. Thus the first Medium Spitz moved in; in 2021 a stud dog was added, and from the B litter a bitch stayed. The kennel appreciates the breed as an adaptable all-rounder for long walks and quieter days. It is affiliated with the Verein für Deutsche Spitze e.V. Gegr. 1899.
