Vom Hause Goldschmidt breeds Old German Longhaired Shepherd Dogs in Streitdorf from old Eastern lines. The focus is on strong bone structure, distinctive heads and a straight back, characteristics associated with these lines. The breeding program includes the colors lacquer black, dark gray clouded and black-and-tan. For matings, the kennel uses exclusively dogs described as healthy in their hips, elbows and backs. In addition, the dogs are tested for DM. The aim is to produce balanced, even-tempered and healthy Old German Shepherd Dogs with a stable disposition. The puppies grow up within the family and become familiar with children, everyday noises, other dogs and traveling by car. Both parent dogs can be seen on site at the kennel. Many offspring are trained in dog sports or as rescue dogs; they are also suitable as family and guard dogs. They are not placed in kennel-only housing, as close contact with people is important.
