Von der Mattig Altdeutscher Schäferhund breeder in Uttendorf · Austria

Von der Mattig is a small breeding establishment for Old German Shepherd Dogs in Uttendorf. The focus is on responsible planning, with an emphasis on quality rather than a high number of litters. In addition to the breed-typical characteristics, the breeding program also takes the dogs’ working ability into account. The parent dogs are, according to the available information, free from HD and ED. Thus, the breeding establishment identifies health requirements as an important part of its breeding work. The selection of breeding dogs is also guided by the aim of producing balanced and willing-to-work Old German Shepherd Dogs. The puppies grow up with early impressions from everyday family life. From the beginning, they are introduced to children as well as to ordinary sounds and situations of daily life. This early familiarization is one of the stated focuses of raising the puppies and is intended to familiarize the young dogs with their environment.
