Vom Grundbachtal breeds Löwchen in Ehringshausen and is affiliated with the Verband Deutscher Kleinhundezüchter e.V. The dogs come from pairings with German and English lines. They grow up in the house and have access to the courtyard and garden. The Löwchen is described as a rare, alert and eager-to-learn small dog breed. It is considered an adaptable, affectionate companion for families with children and other pets as well as for older people. The breed can happily participate in activities in nature, dog sports or as a riding companion, but is intended neither as a guard dog nor as a hunting dog. The puppies leave the breeding facility no earlier than from the tenth week of life. By then, primary immunization and multiple dewormings have been completed; a veterinary examination takes place before departure. The starter package includes food for the first few days, a leash and collar, a cuddly toy, as well as information on care and training. A vaccination certificate and pedigree are provided.
