vom Greifensteiner Land

Vom Greifensteiner Land breeds Rhodesian Ridgebacks in Greifenstein, in the Hessian region at the foot of the Westerwald. The rural surroundings with fields, meadows, forest and a reservoir offer diverse opportunities for shared activities with the dogs. Horses have also long been part of everyday life at the breeding establishment. The dogs live on a historic, completely enclosed farmstead. The approximately 1,000-square-metre grounds provide space for exercise and family life together. The family's long-standing connection with dogs and horses shapes everyday life and the way the animals are kept. A female dog marks the beginning of the breeding programme. She is described as spirited, yet also sensitive and affectionate. Raised as part of close family life, she accompanies rides through the countryside and shows a particularly trusting bond with her caregivers. The breeding programme is affiliated with the Deutsche Züchtergemeinschaft Rhodesian Ridgeback e.V.
