Viva Wheat

Viva Wheat is a small dog breeding kennel in Østbirk breeding Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. The breeding programme focuses on the breed’s healthy conformation and a well-functioning temperament. Emphasis is placed on dogs that are both robust and suited to family life. For Viva Wheat, a good temperament is characterised by a happy and lively dog with a touch of clown, which thrives among people and other dogs. Enjoyment of work and mental stability are also part of the breeding goal. Litters are not frequent, but each litter is prepared carefully and selected with great consideration. The dogs live as a natural part of everyday life and take part in the family’s activities. Holidays in Nordjylland are among the favourites, while obedience training is a shared interest. All the kennel’s dogs have achieved the title Danish Conformation Champion, and the breeding work is also shaped by experience from Dansk Terrier Klub’s health programme.
