Sweet and Joyful

Sweet and Joyful is a breeding kennel of Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers in Hedensted. The kennel name was approved in 2018, and the breeding is based on experience with the breed since 2013 as well as a long life as dog owners. The dogs primarily live as family dogs and have the Irish coat type. The breeding places emphasis on healthy dogs suited to an active life with dogs. The breeding dogs’ hips are free from HD, and they have been DNA-tested for PLN, DM and Locus B. Both behind Sweet and Joyful have completed the Danish Kennel Club’s breeder education. Showing has resulted in fine evaluations, while nose work is an activity prioritised in everyday life. The puppies grow up in the home, close to the sounds and activities of everyday life. Before they move, they receive stimulation and socialisation through meetings with adults and children, as well as trips to town, the forest and the beach and visits to nursing homes. The aim is to give them a solid foundation as confident and healthy family dogs with their future families.
