Unicometa'n

Unicometa'n, operating in Orimattila, is a small-scale home kennel that has been breeding dogs since 1996. The breed listed in its registry is the Norwich Terrier. Behind the breeding work there is also the Collie, in which the kennel has been charmed by the temperament, beautiful structure and refined behaviour. The kennel has acquired White Swiss Shepherd Dogs from Spain, Australia and Poland. Later, American Hairless Terriers and the coated variety of the breed were added to the breeding program. With these imports, a broader gene pool has been sought, and the Rat Terrier has also been included in the breeding plans. Unicometa'n considers knowledge of breed characteristics to be only one part of responsible breeding. This expertise is complemented by studies in training problem dogs and in natural therapies for animals. The kennel wants to use its knowledge for the welfare of dogs, to support new families, and for counselling about breeds.
