Midjord Wolves

Midjord Wolves breeds Irish Wolfhounds with the aim of promoting the breed’s qualities as a gentle and well-adjusted family dog. The work also focuses on contributing to a higher average life expectancy. The breeding follows DKK's requirements and recommendations for the breed and takes place, among other things, in cooperation with Sagas Gentle Giants. The breeding is also based on DKK breeder education. Breeding animals are selected with emphasis on mental stability and the ability to function in changing environments. The puppies are born and grow up in a home environment, where they gradually become familiar with ordinary everyday situations. Socialisation includes meeting people, dogs and other animals, as well as acclimatisation to sounds, car rides, recall, clicker training, house-training and time alone. When a puppy moves to its new family, it comes with a health certificate, microchipping, vaccinations, deworming treatments and an EU passport. The puppies have also been examined with a shunt test. Midjord Wolves places emphasis on a calm and secure start, so that the Irish Wolfhound has a good foundation for life as a family dog.
