Von der Tielenau is a small, dedicated hobby kennel for Irish Terriers. Its central aim is to raise healthy, long-lived puppies with sound temperaments. For the kennel, carefully selecting the parent dogs is just as important as responsibly supporting each litter. The puppies grow up in the house and become familiar early on with different sounds and everyday situations. These include car rides, the vacuum cleaner, the lawn mower, New Year's Eve and encounters with many people. This early familiarisation is intended to give the young dogs a confident start in their new surroundings. Even after the puppies leave, the kennel remains available to their new owners as a point of contact for questions or difficulties throughout the dogs' lives. Von der Tielenau breeds within the DWZRV and therefore follows the requirements of the VDH and FCI. The kennel is also affiliated with the Irish Wolfhound Club e.V.
