Kennel Flatcoat Lolland in Holeby breeds Flat-Coated Retrievers with a focus on dogs that are cooperative, easy to train and motivated to please. The breeding work aims for the breed’s positive and typical temperament, while preserving the hunting instinct. Temperament and working abilities are essential parts of the goal. The breeding programme seeks active puppies with a zest for life and an interest in shared tasks. The dogs should be able to work in many forms of dog work, including hunting, rescue, service, sport, agility and dog dancing. Emphasis is also placed on them becoming good family dogs that can participate in the family’s daily activities. The breeding is based on selected stock from Danish and older English working lines. The goal is Flat-Coated Retrievers that thrive on training and tasks while also being engaged companions in an active family life.
