In Legnaro, in the Padua area, the Enci kennel is dedicated to the Australian Shepherd, the Miniature American Shepherd and the Blue Bay Shepherd. Its activity, recognized by ENCI and FCI and authorized by the USL, began in 1998 from a passion for the first Australian Shepherds that arrived in Italy with the Quarter Horse.
Among the first Italian kennels of the breed, Enci began its journey with ASCA pedigrees. After ENCI recognition in 2004, it welcomed the first female from an entirely Italian line, selected for beauty, balanced temperament and aptitude for working with sheep.
The breeding dogs are screened for the main hereditary diseases and undergo official X-rays for hip and elbow dysplasia. Selection considers appearance, health and character. The dogs live freely in a family environment, interacting with each other and with the other animals on the farm, and follow a natural BARF diet.
