Dragon Curls Curly-Coated Retriever breeder in Westerkappeln Germany

Dragon Curls in Westerkappeln breeds even-tempered, breed-typical Curly-Coated Retrievers based on sound knowledge and continuous further training.

Dragon Curls in Westerkappeln is dedicated to breeding Curly-Coated Retrievers. The foundation of its work is a pronounced passion for dogs as well as knowledge of biology and animal management. Its professional understanding encompasses genetics, animal health and behaviour in particular, complemented by engagement with population genetics. The breeding establishment also gained experience in raising, imprinting and individually supporting puppies as part of training in specialist counselling for animal-assisted social work. Internships at zoos also sharpened its eye for species-appropriate keeping and professional handling of animals. Ongoing further education is part of Dragon Curls’ standards: This includes a seminar for new breeders held by the Deutscher Retriever Club in 2024 and a VDH seminar on outcrossing in 2025. The breeding establishment is affiliated with the Deutscher Retriever Club e.V. and aims to breed sound-minded, breed-typical Curly-Coated Retrievers that will accompany their families for a long time.
