DK Hindkjær's Ocicat breeder in Sønderborg · Denmark

DK Hindkjær's is a family-oriented Ocicat cattery in Sønderborg, founded in 2002 with health and well-being at the centre. The cats live as part of the family throughout the home and have access to an enclosed garden. With normally one to two litters annually, calm, presence and thorough socialisation are prioritised. The kittens move to their new homes no earlier than at 14-16 weeks of age with an original Felis Danica pedigree and health certificate; they are also fully vaccinated and microchipped. All breeding cats are DNA-tested and HCM-scanned as part of the cattery's targeted health work. The cattery works with black-, chocolate- and cinnamon-spotted cats as well as dilutions of these colours, but has opted out of the silver varieties. DK Hindkjær's exhibits in both Denmark and abroad to promote awareness of the Ocicat and continuously assess the cats in relation to the breed standard. Participation is also a social and sporting activity with respect for the cats' needs and boundaries.
