Coonation

Coonation is a Maine Coon cattery in Gråsten, where interest in the breed dates back to 1999. Since 2004, the cattery has worked with Maine Coon and occasionally participates in cat shows in both Denmark and abroad. The many years of experience with the breed form the framework for the cattery’s work. At Coonation, emphasis is placed on a balanced combination of health, temperament and the cats’ appearance. The cats undergo regular health testing, and this follow-up constitutes a central part of the work with the breed. The three considerations are included side by side in the cattery’s priorities. Before the kittens move to their new homes, they are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. They also receive six months of insurance through Agria, which the new owners can take over on advantageous terms. Coonation continues to prioritise contact with the kitten buyers and subsequently offers advice and guidance to the best of its ability.
