The cattery vom Marienthaler Bach in Zwickau is dedicated to breeding Ocicats. This rare breed in Germany is occasionally confused with the Bengal due to its appearance. Ocicats are considered spirited, intelligent and particularly affectionate. They are eager-to-learn, sociable cats that appreciate plenty of closeness and shared activities.
The cats grow up with other cats, dogs, visitors and the usual sounds of everyday life. They are carefully socialized, accustomed to using the litter box and receive vaccinations as well as deworming treatments. Importance is also placed on providing sufficient climbing opportunities and contact with other animals, so that the young cats can express their lively nature.
Both parent cats are Grand International Champions. A permanent home with affection and companionship is particularly important for an Ocicat; for working people, a similarly active feline companion may be advisable. The cattery therefore seeks loving, long-term homes for its cats with people who will do justice to their sociable and cuddly nature.
