DK Myfia

DK Myfia is a small Maine Coon cattery on Midtfyn near Aarup. The cattery was established in 2020 and has since worked purposefully with the breed. In 2021, DK Myfia completed both Felis Danica’s training for diploma breeders and the PawPeds G1 course. Health is a central element of the breeding work. All breeding cats undergo a heart scan for HCM before they are used for breeding. The cats are also DNA-tested for SMA, HCM and PK-Def. The goal is Maine Coon cats with breed-typical characteristics, good health and a stable temperament. The cats live as part of the home, where there is plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. The garden is enclosed, so they can spend time outdoors in a protected area. As the cattery’s kittens grow up in a family with children, they become familiar from an early age with children and the ordinary sounds and activities of everyday family life.
