Badgers Drift Welsh Springer Spaniel breeder in Viborg · Denmark

Badgers Drift is a small dog breeding kennel in Viborg with Welsh Springer Spaniels. The kennel also works with Working Springer Spaniels and focuses on dogs that combine qualities for hunting, trials, tracking, and showing with a calm and well-functioning family life. Health is given high priority in the breeding programme. The breeding dogs are selected from dogs with X-rayed hips and elbows, as well as eye examinations clear of PRA and cataracts. Both physical and mental well-being are included among the kennel’s priorities, and the goal is well-balanced dogs that can be actively engaged and function confidently within the family. The puppies grow up in a home environment as part of the family, with emphasis placed on early habituation and socialisation. Before they leave, they are assessed by a DKK-trained mental tester, so that the kennel can contribute to a suitable match between each individual puppy and its future family.
