The kennel aus der Leinemasch is located in Essel and is dedicated to breeding Appenzeller Mountain Dogs as well as Do Khyi, also known as Tibetan Mastiffs. The dogs live in the household and grow up within a pack. Particular attention is paid to health care for the breeding bitches. Before being used for breeding, they are comprehensively examined for hip and elbow dysplasia, patellar luxation, and EU. Thus, the aforementioned health examinations are taken into account when selecting the breeding bitches. There is a period of at least 18 months between two litters of a bitch. The kennel is certified and combines rearing in a home environment with carefully supervised breeding planning for both dog breeds.
