Al Naqawa Saluki breeder in Mechterstädt Germany

Al Naqawa is a rarely breeding Saluki kennel in Mechterstädt that places health, breed type, and functionality at the center.

Al Naqawa is a Saluki kennel in Mechterstädt, whose kennel name is registered with the FCI, VDH and the Deutscher Windhundzucht- und Rennverband e.V. (DWZRV). The Arabic name refers to purity and quality. The focus is on healthy, breed-typical and fully capable Salukis. Salukis are a special hobby for Al Naqawa. The dogs are presented at shows and take part in coursing. Litters are not planned regularly, but are produced only occasionally, when the kennel wishes to keep a puppy from its own offspring. When selecting pairings, Al Naqawa combines bloodlines from the breed’s countries of origin with established lines from Scandinavia, the USA, Australia and other Western countries. In this way, the kennel aims to preserve the typical characteristics of the Saluki while also paying careful attention to genetic diversity.
