It all depends on where your puppy comes from
To acquire a Schnauzer in good conditions, it is preferable to favor a serious breeder who properly socializes the puppies, provides the useful tests and supports the buyer after the dog's departure. Cheaper ads require increased vigilance regarding identification, health status and traceability.

What about once they're home?
A price that seems too good to be true?
- An abnormally low price should prompt you to verify the identification, the puppy’s real age, and the breeding conditions.
- Always ask for the health documents, the identification number, and information about the parents.
- Avoid impulsive purchases without a visit, without a serious discussion with the breeder, or without follow-up after adoption.
