It all depends on where your kitten comes from
Priority must be given to a traceable origin, to breeding dogs monitored from a health standpoint and to serious socialization of the puppies. An on-site visit and the handing over of the mandatory documents make it possible to assess the breeding conditions.

A price too good to be true?
- An abnormally low price may conceal a lack of health screening, socialization, or documents.
- You must see the mother and the puppies' living conditions, unless there is a clear and verifiable justification.
- No puppy must be transferred before the legal age or without identification and a veterinary certificate.
- Promises of rare color do not justify an extra cost at the expense of health and temperament.

The reference range is generally between 600 and 1 000 euros, depending on the breeder, the pedigree, the screenings and the dog's intended purpose.
You should ask for the identification, the veterinary certificate, the health information, the transfer contract and, for a puppy registered with the LOF, the birth certificate or proof of registration.
