von Seligenporten Basset Hound breeder in Pyrbaum · Germany

The von Seligenporten kennel in Pyrbaum is dedicated to the Basset Hound. The enthusiasm for this breed began in the mid-1990s with a first dog of their own, which shaped family life for many years. The time spent together created a lasting bond with the characterful Hounds and their special qualities. Today, several Basset Hounds belong to the kennel’s small pack. They are described as friendly, cheerful and uncomplicated dogs, while also taking into account the hunting passion typical of the breed. The many years of experience living with and engaging with the Hounds contributed to the decision to establish their own kennel. Since 2006, von Seligenporten has been a member of the Basset-Hound-Club von Deutschland e.V. and received breeding approval in 2009, as well as an FCI-protected kennel name. The kennel combines the knowledge it has gathered over the years with a special appreciation for the Basset Hound.
