The Havanese breeding program von Limes-Steinberg places great importance on preventive healthcare. The parent dogs have been examined for patellar luxation, PRA, cataracts and the Furnishing gene. It is assured that no short-haired Havanese will be born among the offspring. The breeding bitch, with her fine, smooth coat and a weight of 3.7 kg, represents the desired breed type. The puppies grow up in a family environment with children and are accustomed to the usual sounds of everyday life from an early age. This provides them with comprehensive socialization. The dogs are suitable for families, senior women and men, as well as first-time dog owners; they are also considered cat-friendly and can generally travel in the aircraft cabin. When handed over, the puppies have been dewormed several times, vaccinated and microchipped. They receive a pedigree, vaccination certificate, health certificate, information on the parents' DNA profile, as well as a starter package with toys. The breeding program also offers lifelong support with questions and problems and is affiliated with the associations EDH and IHV.
