The von der Ritterbande kennel in Erfde shares its home with seven Border Collies. Living together in the house shapes the dogs’ everyday life just as much as time in the garden and trips to the beach. Mantrailing and Rally Obedience provide variety; two bitches were also able to gain experience working with sheep. The puppies are raised in the home and thus grow up in a domestic environment. Before they leave, they are microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed several times. The kennel accompanies the young Border Collies during this first stage of development, with attention to careful care. The focus of the breeding programme is on healthy and athletic Border Collies that can later live with families. von der Ritterbande is affiliated with the Club für Britische Hütehunde e.V. and combines raising the puppies in the home with activities typical of the breed.
