The dog breeding kennel von der Horstkoppel is based in Quern and is dedicated to the Parson Russell Terrier. For around three decades, the kennel has been breeding these lively and versatile dogs within the Parson Russell Terrier Club Deutschland e.V. The nationally protected kennel name has existed since 1972 and refers to many years of involvement with the breed. At von der Horstkoppel, two to three litters are usually born each year. The breeding program focuses on Parson Russell Terriers, whose spirited and versatile characteristics particularly shape the kennel. The manageable litter frequency is among the details of the breeding establishment. In addition to its own breeding program, von der Horstkoppel is also involved in the club through roles as a breeding warden, association judge and temperament expert. Dogs and hunting are among the interests closely connected with the kennel’s activities. In this way, the breeding program combines work with dogs with many years of commitment to the breed club.
