von der Halterner Hexenbuche Hovawart breeder in Haltern am See · Germany

The Von der Halterner Hexenbuche kennel in Haltern am See is dedicated to the Hovawart. The breeder has lived with this breed since she was five years old and initially gained experience in her parents’ kennel before starting her own breeding program. She is affiliated with the Hovawart Zuchtgemeinschaft Deutschland e.V. The focus of the breeding program is a female Hovawart whose balanced temperament and appealing appearance are frequently praised. She proves versatile in everyday life: when travelling, in cafés, on hikes, as a companion while riding, in contact with large and small dogs, as well as during quiet hours at home. She also clearly expresses her breed-typical guarding instinct. Von der Halterner Hexenbuche places particular emphasis on the early imprinting of the puppies during their first eight weeks of life. The aim is to raise Hovawarts that integrate well into family life and bring joy to their future families. The focus is on socially compatible behaviour and close, positive support for the young dogs.
