The focus is on the combination of good nature, attachment, intelligence, athleticism and vigilance that characterizes the Hovawart. The breeding program pursues the goal of raising Hovawarts with sound temperaments, social compatibility and suitability for families. Health, strength of character and a balanced temperament are highly valued. Vom Cornus Kousa is affiliated with the Hovawart Zuchtgemeinschaft Deutschland e.V. and aims to preserve the qualities that make these dogs reliable companions. The puppies grow up in the house as part of everyday life. They become familiar with sounds, the garden and new experiences appropriate to their age, while periods of rest are also taken into account. In this way, they are to be prepared for their future life as a family dog, sporting companion or reliable partner. After moving out, the breeding kennel continues to support the new families with advice.
