von der Alten Heide Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever breeder in Hanover · Germany

The dog breeding kennel von der Alten Heide in Hanover has been dedicated to the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, also known as the Toller, since 2011. The breeding program is based on a carefully trained breeding bitch as well as on experience with this breed in everyday family life. The breeding plans take health examinations, ancestry and breeding suitability into account. The ancestors were also researched in detail. The selection of the first stud dog was made according to genetic and external characteristics; particular importance was placed on an inbreeding coefficient of 0.0 %. The first litter was born in September 2013. The puppies are raised in accordance with medical guidelines and with varied socialization. The aim is to prepare the young Tollers for their later lives as well-balanced family and companion dogs.
