von den Echelon is a dog breeding establishment in Baesweiler, breeding Boxers and belonging to the Boxer-Klub e.V. The family looks back on a long-standing connection with dogs and dog sports, shaped since childhood. Breeding experience has existed in their environment since 1988; health, responsible breeding and sporting suitability are at the centre of their work. In 2017, the breeding establishment joined other breeders in founding a club for French Bulldogs. This commitment pursued the aim of further developing the breed’s health. According to the breeding establishment, the work was accompanied by recognised veterinarians and doctoral students in order to pursue new approaches to maintaining health. For von den Echelon, promoting health and resilience is of particular importance. The breeding establishment places value on preventive examinations and on ensuring that the Bulldogs kept can breathe freely and demonstrate sporting ability. The combination of breeding and dog sports shapes the establishment’s self-image.
