Briards vom Wandersmann

The hobby kennel Briards vom Wandersmann is located on the edge of a field in a suburb of Wiesbaden. The focus is on Briards, known in German as Berger de Brie. The kennel is affiliated with the Club für Französische Hirtenhunde e. V. and looks back on a long-standing personal connection with French herding dogs. The first Briard arrived in 1995 and sparked the desire to breed this breed later on. Briards vom Wandersmann explicitly considers itself a hobby kennel and therefore plans no more than one litter per year. This deliberately keeps the rearing limited to a small, home-based setting. The first Berger des Pyrénées, a male, joined the household as early as 1990. However, three decades passed before the first litter of this breed was raised there: It was not until 2020 that puppies were first raised in the home under the name Pyris vom Wandersmann. Both breeds thus shape the history of the kennel.
