The Vom Naturpark Frankenhöhe kennel is dedicated to breeding German Shepherd Dogs in Leutershausen. Alongside a sheep farm with around 650 breeding ewes, dog breeding forms another focus of the operation. As a result, working with dogs is closely connected with everyday life in flock management. For breeding, female dogs are used that have proven themselves working with the flock. These are complemented by males from high-quality and performance breeding lines. The focus is on carefully selecting breeding dogs according to their characteristics and suitability for different tasks. Vom Naturpark Frankenhöhe pursues the goal of producing German Shepherd Dogs with sound temperaments and versatile working-dog qualities. The combination of experience from sheep farming and performance-oriented selection shapes the direction of the breeding program.
