Vikingspids

Kennel Vikingspids breeds Västgötaspets in Rødkærsbro, centrally located in Central Jutland. The breed is described as a small, versatile and distinctive dog with a robust nature. The breeding programme places emphasis on sharing knowledge of this special spitz dog, which is best experienced through meeting it. The Västgötaspets has roots as the Vikings’ farm and herding dog, and its historical background forms an important basis for the kennel’s work. Vikingspids focuses on safeguarding the breed’s origins while also contributing to its continuation through responsible breeding. The kennel has its own kennel name and is run by a DKK-trained breeder. One of the breeding bitches has been exhibited with an excellent rating and has achieved a Nordic junior title. Vikingspids thus offers breeding with an interest in the breed’s history, characteristics and continued development.
