Velvet Looks Manchester Terrier breeder in Rotterdam · Netherlands

Velvet Looks breeds Spanish Water Dogs and Manchester Terriers in Rotterdam-Zuid. The parent dogs are carefully selected, with attention to a stable temperament, good health and genetic diversity. Each year, the kennel plans approximately two to three litters. Since 2020, each parent combination has been used only once. Spanish Water Dogs are tested, among other things, for hip dysplasia and by DNA testing for PRA, a hereditary eye disorder. Manchester Terriers undergo DNA testing for the blood-clotting disorder von Willebrand disease. In addition, DNA is collected from every puppy born at Velvet Looks. The puppies leave with a Raad van Beheer pedigree and microchip, a European passport, vaccinations, deworming and a puppy package. For Spanish Water Dogs, Velvet Looks also provides the first shave, either at the kennel or at the new family's home. The kennel also provides information about the breeds, their care and health.
