Steinunn’s Icelandic Sheepdog breeder in Bramsche · Germany

Steinunn’s Kennel in Bramsche breeds Icelandic Sheepdogs, which are considered cheerful, close companions. The starting point was a first male, who lived in everyday family life and alongside Icelandic horses from the 1990s onward. A later female founded the breeding line. The pack includes five breeding females, three young females and one stud dog. Health and correct conformation guide the selection of pairings. Represented are red with white markings, cream, grey and chocolate brown. The dogs are described as alert, self-confident, active and eager to learn; some show herding instinct. Offspring prove themselves as rescue, riding companion, school and therapy dogs, in farm work and in dog sports. Dogs from the kennel have also been successful at shows. At the same time, they are intended to be family-friendly, cuddly companions. The breeding is recognised by the Deutscher Club für Nordische Hunde e.V.
