Skovlund's Lab d'Or

Skovlund's Lab d'Or is a small hobby breeding kennel of Labrador Retrievers in Ringe on South Funen. The kennel has completed DKK's breeder education and places emphasis on healthy, breed-typical dogs with DKK pedigrees. The breeding dogs take part in training, trials and shows. In the breeding work, only dogs that are free from hip and elbow problems, have a high HD index and are not affected by hereditary diseases are selected. The dogs live as part of the family in the home, while the puppies grow up in the living room and are introduced early to ordinary sounds and daily routines. The puppies' first period includes the Biosensor programme's five short, daily exercises from the third to the sixteenth day of life. Later, they are offered play, obstacles and time in the garden. From around six to eight weeks of age, the litters are calmly introduced to the outside world, including trips to town and the beach as well as sounds such as fireworks and gunshots.
