Shenaja

Kennel Shenaja in Næstved is a small, serious home breeding program of Shetland Sheepdogs with more than 21 years of experience with the breed. Here, quality is valued more highly than quantity, and no more than one litter is planned per year. The breeding program has completed the DKK breeder education. The breeding work is based on the breed’s temperament, health and conformation. Bitches are thoroughly examined before they are included in the breeding program, and the choice of stud dog is made with a view to a good match and a documented health history. Kennel Shenaja follows recommendations and breeding rules from Dansk Shetland Sheepdog Klub and DKK. The puppies grow up as part of everyday life in the home and encounter ordinary sounds, activities and car rides before leaving. Socialisation is prioritised so that they have a secure starting point. Kennel Shenaja also places emphasis on finding well-considered homes that want a versatile dog for both calm, companionship and active training.
